Can I find my UDID without plugging my device into the computer
I have never connected my iPad or iPhone to my computer. I would like to find my UDID, but do not want to connect my devices. Is there any other way?

System Status Lite is the free version but from what I can tell by poking around in it just now, it doesn't report the UDID. Maybe the paid version does but I have not purchased it. As I mentioned above, UDID+ works in this regard, and it's free. Note: I checked the iPhone App...running on the iPad may give the UDID but I really can't be sure since I don't have access to my iPad right now.

NO IT DOESNT, UM THINK AGAIN
Um, yes it did FIVE year ago when Demo made the post. In the intervening FIVE years, Apple has changed how things work. That was also explained in this thread.
THere is an app,is the app store called System Status that will give the UDID of your device. I honestly don't recall if it is free or not, but if not it is inexpensive.
Just a note: if you are tracking down the UDID due to the recent reports of a list being published, that has pretty much determined to be a hoax. Nothing to worry about.
James mentioned System Status which I believe will give you what you're looking for but there are also numerous others in the App Store. Just do a search for UDID and you'll find plently. One that I use is called UDID+ (it's free) and will allow you to copy the UDID to the clipboard using a single button. You can then paste the UDID to where you need it without making any typos.
System Status app does that as well.
The System Status app does show you the UDID under the details section. You can copy and paste the UDID with System Status, but it is not free.
If your concern is that story about the stolen UDID's, I agree with James - don't sweat it. No need to worry about it.
Not free, huh. Surprises me, being as how I avoid paying for apps when ever possible 😝.
Is there any way I can find my UDID if my phone is not on?
No, don't beleive there is, unless it is printed on the label of the box it came in.
Try one of these:

There are many, many more that will let you copy or email your UDID. Simply search UDID in the Appstore.
Andrew, if you have ever backed your phone up with iTunes, the name of the backup folder is that devices UDID.
@Nathan-D - Your post was the most valuable one I read - I forgot that my new iPad was not added to my Developer's account yet so I got all the way to the activation screen before I realized that I did not have the UDID copied anywhere. iTunes does not show you the SN or UDID of a device BEFORE it is activated so I was stuck...
Do I restore my new iPad with my backup just to get the UDID and they re-install the new iOS 7 beta or trust that there has to be another way.... low and behold - your post at the end of the 100th post I read. Thank you @Nathan-D... you sir deserve a cold one... 😁
I tried the top 4 on this list, the 3rd is no longer available(?) and the other 3 all gave a completely different number (none matched)
Seems the only reliable way is through iTunes.
That post is no longer accurate. Being a unique number, the UDID was being abused by ad delivery companies to track users. Because of that, Apple deprecated the ability to retrieve the UDID from the device. You must get it from iTunes.
except they removed all the USB slots and now you can't plug them into the computer
