Displaying different spaces in dual monitors

Hi, all.

I am using dual monitors in Mountain Lion. Can I display different spaces (desktop 1, desktop 2 or dashboard) in different monitors using mission control?

Thank you.

I am watching live broadcast or youtube in Safari in one window and browing the web in another window separatly. When I put the live broadcast or youtube in full screen (not the Safari full screen mode), I cannot browse the web in the other window beacuse I cannot locate my mouse.

Any suggestion for me to watch youtube in full screen in one monitor and browse the web in the other monitor using the same application?

Thank you.

Ok, try this...

  1. Activate Mission Control and select the Space you want to use.
  2. Open two Safari windows and position one on on each of the two monitors.
  3. If you want to make this permanent, be sure the "Close windows when quitting an application" option in System Preferences > General is not selected. This way Mountain Lion will restore your Safari windows.

Does that work for you?

I don't know how to achieve what you want exactly, but for this very same purpose I have used two browsers.

My usual browser is Safari, but I have successfully done what you describe by opening the broadcast with Chrome and navigating the web in Safari at the same time (I suppose Firefox would work just as well).

Using Chrome for 2nd monitor as well.

The problem is that this is an ugly workaround

1) Secondary screen flashes when switching spaces while working on primary one, which is **** annoying

2) I do not really want to use separate browser, and I do not really want to bind "secondary monitor apps" in this ugly restricting way

3) This does not help when full-screen functionality is used on ether monitor's app, the other one is lost

Apple really did not think this through - Mission Control + multiple monitors - and it's so annoying that they did not review it for soo long. Please add more options! This does not have to be so difficult.
