I have an iPad (3rd Generation, 5.1.1) that is goign to be in a public setting, i would like it locked down completly and only show 5 game Apps on the screen. Is there a way to do this?

No, sorry, there isn't. You can put the iPad in a kiosk frame that prevents a user from using the Home button to get out of a single app (and iOS 6, coming this fall, will allow such a lock in software), but there is no way to allow someone to choose from several apps but keep them from getting to everything else.
Regards.
Hi -
An Enterprise version of our Kiosk Pro app would be able to launch the game apps, however, you'd need the games be able to exit back to Kiosk Pro.
You will also need the games to time out and go to Kiosk Pro whenever it sensed that the customer has walked away.
If you have access to the game source code, then you can do what you want.
Good luck!

We have a free app that make it possible to have any url or url's to work in full screen kiosk mode without having to lock down your ipad in any special way. The app is called "kiosks" and is available for free on the ipad app store. If you combine it with the hardware enclosure with built-in card reader your website can also accept physical card data right to your html web forms...
Give it a try and see how this kiosk mode app works out for you and your project:
