Mobile me mail not working

I've signed up for icloud and it all appears to work, except my mail account now won't receive emails which may or may not be related to the transfer to iCloud. I just keep getting the message that the incoming server can't connect to port 993. I've tried changing it and I've tried to find alternative settings via the Apple website with no joy. This is beyond me completely can anyone help?

Yes to the password question. The incoming mail server address has p01 in the front which according the the settings page shouldn't be there. The address is pail in my account details and I can't seem to change it. The address I have for the incoming server is p01-imap.mail.me.com and it is this server which seems to be causing the problem - any ideas how I can change it to delete the p01 bit? Sorry - this is a bit beyond my knowledge!
