Q: Book unavailable when searched

Hi,

I tried to search one of my friend's book in books section of iTunes, but I could not find it, whereas he is able to find the book when he browses, please let me know what could be the reason. I am in India and my friend is in a different country. Is there any way I could find his book....

Suggest me some ideas on what needs to be done.

iBook, Windows 7

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

Not all content is available in all locations, you can only purchase content from your own store.

Currently there are only free books in the ibookstore in India, so that is probably why you can't find it - as you can only buy content from your own country's store you won't currently be able to get it from Apple. Has he made it available in other ebook stores that you might have access to ?

Yes it is available in Amazon, I just wanted to check if it is possible to find the book using iTune, if the author change it as freebook is it possible for me to view, also I would like to know if there is any list of countries which has access to view all books...

    Thanks for your suggestions...

I think that for where only free books are available they will only be old out-of-copyright 'classics' as opposed to new free books. In terms of countries where there are more recent and paid-for books, then it will depend upon whether the book publisher or author has made it available to Apple to sell it in that country.
