My podcast just became searchable in the itunes store. I knew it took a few days but the cover art is not showing yet.
Is this a process that just takes more time as well? When I subscribe to it the artwork shows up but it's not showing up in the store..

The image is correctly referenced in the feed: it can take several days before the image appears in the Store, so it's just a question of waiting.
So it's been 6 days since I received the itunes notification letting me know my feed is now live. Still no image.... Does it normally take this long?
I'd like to start promoting it...
There's no 'normally', but from what I can gather over a week isn't unusual.
So it's been 9 days now...still no artwork? Is there anyway I can expeditie this? I'd like to start promoting it but would like to do so with artwork.

I'm afraid there really isn't anything you can to about this: it will appear when it appears, and all you can do is wait. It's frustrating, but unfortunately that's the situation.

If I update my image in my feedburner feed might that help?
As it's OK in the feed this wouldn't make any difference. I should just leave it alone - there isn't really anything you can do to expedite it.

Just checking in to state that my artwork still isn't showing. My podcast has been in itunes for almost 2 months.
This is sort of ridiculous...
No way to get my podcast art showing yet if you subscribe it shows up...
The image you see when subscribing isn't the same as the one which appears on the Store page (or in your case doesn't) - it's actually embedded in each episode. Certainly your artwork should have appeared by now.
So what are my options here?
