My iPhone 4 keeps restarting when plugged into my computer, the screen scrambled, and now the computer doesn't even acknowledge it's plugged into it. I have switched cords, restarted iTunes, my phone, and my computer but nothing changes. Only a year old.

My iPhone 4 keeps restarting when plugged into my computer, the screen scrambled, and now the computer doesn't even acknowledge it's plugged into it. I have switched cords, restarted iTunes, my phone, and my computer but nothing changes. I have only had it for a year now, and I really don't want to have to delete my library of music. Is there anyway to fix this??

Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, clean iPhone charging port with toothbrush and Isopropyll Alcohol. If still problem, manually put iPhone into Recovery Mode and Restore with iTunes on computer. If still problem, try DFU Mode Restore. If still problem, next step would be battery replacement.
