Previews not showing in Dashboard Movie widget

Yikes I'm not even getting Movie Listings just a black rectangle

Movies widget hasnt worked for me in a couple of weeks now. Has anyone heard of a fix? Just getting the blank black box and seems that its trying to connect but there is no info coming thru.

Thanks for the info. But seems a little complicated for this noob, lol. I havent changed a thing and wouldnt know how. Anyways, it hasnt seemed to fix itself yet. I'll have to sit down and really follow the steps and see if it works.

I'm still not working... Just a black box for two weeks now. Changed url to and from did not fix. I'm back on apple url.

Movie Widget DEAD.

Mine's been not-working for about a month... But the issue for me is for Canada (Vancouver, BC in my case). It works fine if I switch to an American location... So, I wonder if they have some copyright or server issue across the boarder...

My Movies widget does not know the correct day. Today is 10.25.12, but it thinks the date is 10.23.12. Set that way no info appears, but if I change the date in the widget drop down to Thu Oct 25th, then info appears. For some reason it is not updating the date.

The Movies Widget is not working on my Mac. All I get is a black rectangle. I called Apple and they try tried to help me but finally sent me to Fandango. The Fandango rep spent about an hour trying to help me,but could not. The strange thing is that my daughter in the Bronx can get the app to load. I called Apple back and they said they would not charge me for the call and this tech in Oregon checked his computer and also got the black rectangle. I called Fandango back (1-866-857-5191) and a pleasant rep told me should would escalate the problem. I was ready to reload the operating system but when I heard that the rep in Oregon could not load the movie app data, I knew it was not my system. Apparently, it depends where you live.

I tried dragging the app out of the widget folder in the system library and reinstalling it, but that didn't work.

I guess I'll be patient. Anyone else experiencing this?

i believe the cause for this is Yahoo!'s "where" API is now down for good. Apparently it was supposed to go dark in late 2012, but they kept it open for a little while longer. At least the parser.js error on line 230 refers to this issue.
