Q: Downloading Gifted Apps

I have gifted an iPod touch app from the iTunes store to my son in Japan. When he tries to download it, he is asked for a GIFT code which I do not have and nor does he. Any ideas?

    However, you can only Gift to the same country from which you made the gift from. If you are in the USA, you can only gift for someone to use the USA App/iTunes store. Also, you can only use the App/iTunes store in the country you are located.

    If you are in the USA you can't gift someone who is in Japan.
