Hi again, Ulfur —
Yes, that's the same as my "backup" mouse.
I can't find any model-specific info on Logitech's US website using either CordlessOptical 11, M/N: M-RR95, or P/N: 831103-0000. Too old?
I haven't installed any version of Logitech Control Center on my eMac.
Without having paid any attention to it, my Logitech mouse (yes, it's USB-optical) does have some functionality:
• left = "normal"
• right = "control"
• scroll wheel = scrolls.
FYI, Logitech's
Standard diagnostics for Logitech Products on OSX says: "
Note: Keep in mind that many of Logitech’s products are not fully compatible with OSX. However, many products such as keyboards, mice, and game devices will still work on OSX with native functionality. This means the most basic features of the device will work, but it will not be programmable."
But I think that's overly pessimistic. Check out reader reviews on
VersionTracker &/or
MacUpdate.
Keep trying with LCC 1.6.2. (I'll play around a bit here, too.) Also, I suggest you download and try one or both of these "3rd-party" mouse drivers:
USB Overdrive &/or
SteerMouse, on a trial basis. They're both excellent drivers, and you can "test drive" them on a trial basis. USBOverdrive is an old favorite of many Mac folks, but hasn't added Bluetooth support yet; SteerMouse is ~new.
I currently have SteerMouse installed — for my Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) mouse. Although I've never intentionally setup the M-RR95, it's possible that SteerMouse is providing some functionality anyway. Sorry, I hadn't explored/thought about this before...
I'll be back in touch once I learn anything more that may be helpful to you. Please post back to share how things go...
Regards,
Dean
