How do I disable the trackpad "hover = click/select" capability?

I don't recall how I enabled this feature and when I select "trackpad" from System Preferences I see nothing relating to hovering as a method of selection. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have the same issue. It seems like this didn't happen when I first got my computer (about 2 months ago). And it seems like it doesn't happen everytime I hover over something. I do know that if I put my cursor over a link or tab and then accidentally touch-not click--the trackpad very lightly, it will open a new page.

It's very frustrating, isn't it? I also posted a question about this. I hope we get an answer.
