Sep 7, 2012 8:27 AM in response to brickettby stormypants,Try a 'Hard Reset' of your iPod. Hold down the Home Button and Power button simultaenously for 15 seconds. You will see a white Apple logo come up. Your iPod will power back on automatically.

Sep 7, 2012 9:00 AM in response to brickettby lllaass,Next, try the following:
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order
