"On My Mac" iCal versus iCloud
Has anybody found a way to have both a local "On My Mac" iCal calendar and iCloud synchronized calendars. With the upgrade to Mountain Lion all of my calendars were synced to iCloud and I can no longer turn off iCloud without losing all of my calendars. In iCal preferences there is no way to add a local account if iCloud is turned on. If I add a new calendar while I am not signed into iCloud it shows up under "On My Mac". When I turn on iCloud I get the option to merge or cancel. If I merge my calendars with the iCloud then the new calendar is put in the iCloud. If I select Cancel instead of Merge then I can't see any my calendar events from the Cloud.
I made a backup of all my events and I am thinking about reloading while I am off iCloud so I can always see my calendar.
Is there a way to maintain events on the Mac while not signed into iCloud without completely foregoing iCloud?
