How do I see how much memory I have used on my iMac?

Open  > About this Mac and see Memory

mende1's response will tell you how much physical RAM is installed

 

To see the usae and allocation, use Activity Monitor (in Applications > Utilities). Select the "System Memory" tab at the bottom to see RAM usage:

Hi 1898-pfc

 

It should be the same over the platforms, but using Mountain Lion,

 

1: Click on the Apple icon and open "About this Mac"

2: Open the "More Info..." tab

3: Click on the "Storage" tab

 

This will show you our much free space you have and give you a summary of what you are using used storage for.  Hope that helps.
