Internal isight not working. Black screen, but green light is on

I have a Mac OS X, snow leopard. I installed Skype recently and I realized my internal isight camera is not working. The green light is on, but a black screen. Have tried other applications: photobooth and ichat and it's the same. I've been trying to figure it out and I'm at a loss of what to do?
