Password Protect Flashdrive

Is there a way I can password protect my SanDisk cruzer flashdrive?? And while i am at it does anyone know how to make something display upon inserting the flashdrive like a message or image or document?? An answer to either of these questions would be awesome! If you need any more info on the computer or flashdrive tell me and i'll give you it!🙂
