I have a Canon MF4150 Imageclass all in one laser printer. I downloaded the drivers from Canons website and installed them. I used the preferences to select the printer. when I try to print I get an error messge, not compatible! Anyone else have this  problem or a solution?

Hmm, here's a "Mac Print 101" article from last year's Mac Operating System (Lion).  Unfortunately, your printer does not show up in the "Prnter and Scanner Software" list (link under "Important" near the top).  So Apple, which usually provides drivers and updates for printers, does not for your printer.

So you'll have to rely solely on Canon's website, if there's to be any hope of supporting your printer on Mountain Lion.

To restate, newer printers (but not necessarily brand new) are supported (drivers provided by) Apple.

The Canon UFR2 v2.41 driver that supports your model works fine on 10.8. When it doesn't it usually has something to do with the setup or installation.

To check both, open Finder and navigate to Applications > Utilities and open System Information. In the left column select Printers. The right column will show information about the printer queue to the MF4150. Can you copy this and paste back here.
