PowerBook G4: Airport Extreme Upgrade

Hello,
I have a Powerbook G4 running Mac OSX Tiger (10.4.11)

I recently installed a compatible airport extreme.

It is not recognized by this computer.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I am not clear as to which Airport Extreme component you have installed. Was it an Airport Extreme base station or perhaps an Airport Extreme card in the computer?

G4 PowerBooks made prior to 2003 had a 802.11b card and can't access the 802.11 g/n Airport Extreme base station.

If you have both the Airport Extreme card and base station then you may need to reset the Airport base station.
