audio balance

Hi everyone.

After teh latest update of Mountain Lion, my speaker balance has a problem. Frequently it moves all on the left, so I can hear only the left channel. Of course if I open the audio control pannel I'm able to reset it moving in the midle, but is quite annoying.
Checking on the net, I'm not the only one to have this issue.

Any suggestion?
