Q: II deleted 20 documents in pages accidently.  They have now disappeared from my devices.  Can I restore to a backup from yesterday?

I don't think these documents are included in a backup, much like contacts for example are not backed up because they are stored in the Contacts section of icloud.  Your documents should be stored in the iWork section.  But if you delete them, they're gone.  The only hope would be if they are still stored locally (in a special folder) on your mac (if you use one and have synced it to iWork).  I think you can open it in pages and then save it to a regular local folder.  You might look into that, if possible.
