Q: I HAVE OS X TIGER 10.4.11 NSTALLED ON AN OLD G5 - CAN I UPDATE THIS VERSION? IF SO HOW / WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? Thanks for any help. Graham F. 9-9-12

I have an old G% with OS X tiger 10.4.11 installed - Cn I update this? If I can how do I do it / what Are the options?? Any help appreciated. Graham F. 9-9-12

    A G5 PPC Mac can run Leopard 10.5.8 but not any further upgrades to OS X as these are for Intel macs only.

     

    You can find a Leopard install disk on eBay (at a price) but make sure that it is a black retail install disk, as grey update disks are machine specific and will no work.
