I have published an ibook for ipad, but I cannot see it on the ibook store on iphone. Why is this?

If you have used IBA to create the book, it can be viewed only on an iPad. The iBookstore on the iPhone will not show titles that cannot be read on an iPhone.

It looks like IBA will only produce .ibook format, and the iphone needs .ipub.

So i need another program to convert my .ibook to .ipub (not sure which one)

and I have to get a new isbn number and republish the book again.

Is that right?

To produce ePub, you can use Pages, InDesign, Calibre, and a whole host of other programs. Regarding the ISBN, there is no rule to say that you need a new one. However, I'm not sure whether the iBookstore will be able to handle to different editions with the same ISBN. You'd have to make something in the metadata differ from the first version, such as putting (enhanced edition) at the end of the title of the iPad version, and then try. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid you'll have to use another ISBN.
