second hand MBP coverage help

Hello folks, i bought a MBP early2011 2nd hand (my first experience in mac world). When i checked for my MB support coverage in https://selfsolve.apple.com it said that it will expire on december 26th 2012. DVD is not working now, i take it to a support center here in my country and they said they can't help me because i dont have the receipt. My question is, if i buy an apple care in amazon, will it cover my mac?. I register my mac the first day i bought it, using this https://register.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/GlobaliReg.woa and it was success. Also i checked if it was reported stolen and nothing found at all. Another thing, the mac looks like it was bought in USA and i live in Panama. Thanks in advance.

If you will go here:

http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

Pick your product, model, region, and finally country (Panama), you will be able to read the appropriate warranty for Panama. By the way, unless that warranty differs significantly from the US warranty, your hardware is covered for one year. If you registered it with Apple and if it shows that your machine is covered by the Apple warranty, then your service provider needs to simply check the Apple database to see that it is covered. To make sure, you might want to contact the seller (if you can) and ask for a receipt.
