Wallpaper is Stuck on Default Blue.

When I started up my computer, the wallpaper was the andromeda space one. I've never even set it on that one. When I went into System Preferences to change it, it changed into the default blue background. Now, it will not change backgrounds. When I go into System Preferences, it says that the wallpaper I want is on the screen when it actually isn't...

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
