facetime is not accepting my apple id

Anyone else having this issue? I can connect fine with iTunes or on the web, but when I try to log into FaceTime, I get an invalid AppleId or Password error. Very strange. I'm using a new Mac Book Pro Retina with OS X 10.8.1

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

I had trouble too => I corrected by changing my Apple ID eddress from gmail to xxx@me.com. Works fine now.

I ended up having to re-enter my credit card information including the security code on the back and then it worked fine
