APPLE-ID Question

How do I transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another and permanently delete an account? If this is not currently available, when will APPLE permit this?

You can't transfer purchases or merge different IDs together.


Only Apple knows why it doesn't offer that feature - maybe it's part of the conditions set forth by the music labels, by hollywood, who knows - we certainly don't.


You can't permanently delete an account, only "delete" it from a device or computer (this doesn't delete the account, it only removes the connection to the itunes account).

The account used to purchase apps is entered in iTunes and though it can be the same ID as your iCloud account it doesn't have to be - the two are not connected.


To sign out in iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, click on your name at the left of the black toolbar, and choose 'Sign Out'.


This does not affect your connection to iCloud. If you want to remove your iCloud account from your device, go to System Preferences (or Settings) and click 'Sign Out' (on a Mac) or 'Delete account' (on an iOS device).
