ERROR:4MOT/4/40000003:HDD-1253

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS THIS ERROR AND HOW TO FIX IT?

I HAVE AN IMAC 27" (LATE 2009) AND I DISCOVERED THIS ERROR AFTER THE HARDWARE TEST!

I HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH FREEZING PROGRAMS!

Your hard drive is most likely failing. Back up you data as soon as possible and have the computer serviced.

It refers to the motor for the fan cooling the Hard Drive. If that's not working and you're experiencing problems it's likely to be overheating, which in turn will lead to HDD failure.

Time to get it in to an authorised repairer.
