My very new iPhone 4S does not charge, no matter which charger I use. The dumb Apple support site does not even given me an option to state the symptoms. What do you think may be wrong other than the battery just died?

I bought an iPhone 4s in July 2012 and in mid Aug 2012 the battery stopped charging. I have tried different chargers, different sockets etc and I believe that the battery may have just died. What do you suggest I do? Other than going to an Apple shop and asking them to repair it?

Have it checked and replaced under warranty.

possible the charging port or something software. first can you charge it in a computer? if no and you have tried different cords. you can get a replacement for free it would mean its hardware

Apple will likely replace it under warranty if they agree it is a manufacturing

try to do a hard reset. holding both sleep/wake and home button for approx 15 secs till u see an apple (ignore slide to power down) you can try this unplugged and if still not working try to do this while connected to the charger.
