why does my pre keyed footage freeze on imovie

How come when everybody that uses pre keyed footage on their edited videos work so perfectly, mine just freezes, the footage works when i scan over it but when i play it, it freezes all the way. somebody anybody please help its annoying everybody's pre keyed footage work except mine.
