I've read up on the wifi products; Apple Tv, AirPlay, Airport Express/Extreme, Mac Mini but I'm still confused about what I need to build a home network and entertainment solution. We have several Apple devices in the home, iPads, iPhones, an iMac and a Windows PC. From all of these computers and devices, we want to be able to share files, control our home theatre system and TV's (we have 4). We have a 3 storey home and want to keep it as wireless as possible, however each room is network wired.

How should I go about setting this up? What do I need? And will these products enable a generous wifi range?

You'll want 1 Apple TV per TV you want to stream iTunes to.

As your 'main' router you'll want an AirPort Extreme.

On the other two floors, get AirPort Expresses. Plug them into the network.

Set the AirPort Expresses up to be in 'bridged' mode.

If you want NAS, plug an external HDD into the Extreme.

The Mac mini isn't a WiFi product, it's a computer.
