Q: Why do my program download installs go to textedit?
Hi guys,
This may be a dumb question, but thank God for Apple communities with people can answer dumb questions. I am trying to install a program on my Mac (YouTube Video Downloader-http://youtubedownloader.com/). When I download it, the default program that opens the installer is Textedit. It is an .exe file. Am I missing something? Is there something I don't know about TextEdit? It opens as an editable document with symbols and characters. Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you guys.

Thank you, Niel. Honestly, didn't occur to me that it was Windows-based. I didn't see the specifications or requirements. That's got to be it. Thank you, man.
