Audible "ringing bell"

Question

When I go to a new URL on my Mac I get this audible ringing bell alert that's extremely annoying. Where is this coming from and how do I turn it off?

For me, after two years of being driven almost crazy, i found my solution to Safari's bell upon opening, in Mail.
