Little application from ****-hidden file?

There is a little applicatio, "Peripheral Vision," that announces the connection or disconnection of external devices. I want to get rid of PV but am not able to find it anywhere. Seems like I've run across the term "hidden files" but now cannot find any reference to that. Not able to find active site for developer.

Any help getting rid of this little annoyance will be appreciated.
