Not booting past OS X Utilities

Hi everyone,

Im only new to mac/Apple but have an issue with my new 27" imac.

Ever since purchase keeps dropping wirless when goes into sleep mode, Apple Support suggested doing fresh install. So I followed the steps, erased HD and downloaded new OS from the internet through disk utility.

Now it wont move from there? It keeps booting to OS X Utilities? how do i get pas this, im stuck!

any help would be great thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Restart holding the Alt (option) key and when it gets to the Startup Manager select the Macintosh HD.

thanks, i tried this, but it only brings up one option Recovery HD, and this takes me right back to OS X Utilities 😟

Then there is something wrong with the instillation.

Try again, as per > OS X: About OS X Recovery

or > Hands on with Lion Recovery | Macworld

Contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine. Should also apply to new machines.
