I have restored my 1st gen out of the box ipad and can still not connect to anything.wi-fi is enabled and strong.i am losing my mind.forgive me this is my first apple product and this startup should have been easy right?what else do I do?Help!

Thanks but I have done that three times allready.Could this somehow be related to my wi fi router?

As you said i am connected via my laptop wireless allready.Unplugged router and re signed in to no avail.Still no connection on ipad to any apps.Allready went into to settings and restored network connections a few times but also did not work.Is this normal or should I have allready been surfing the internet 6 hours ago?

I have Vista.Does that change things?I have Kapersky internet security.Are they a problem with ipad's?

I disabled my security and still no connection to internet.Did a diagnostic through itunes and everything passed.I have been fighting this now for 6 hours and my first experience with apple has been dreadful.

I was on the phone for hours reconfiguring my cisco wireless router.In the end it seems that the router and the ipad are communicating but there is a block somewhere allowing the ipad to connect to the internet.they claim it is not the router but the ipad and maybe the technology is not the same.g on the router and n on the ipad?My brain is starting to ooze from my head.It seems that a new router with n technology might work but I dont know and I cant seem to get a difinitive answer about what exactly is the problem and I feel like I have been goingg around in circles for days.Have onlt ever heard good things about apple and can not believe that this is happening to me and have no where to turn anymore for help.
