I recently bought a MBP retina display. So i would like to migrate the apps from the old MBP. I have install Microsoft Office in the old MBP. Can it be transfer though migration assitance to the new MBP? Also if i migrate apps from old MBP , the new MBP has already have the same apps . Will the migration overwrite the apps which already exist in new MBP?

Thanks for quick reply.

No, you can't select specific apps. All you can do is select users, network settings, and all apps. Simplest thing to do is on first boot, use the Setup Assistant to migrate everything, complete the boot process, and then delete what you don't want. AFAIK, older apps won't overwrite newer ones. See Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.
