Q: what is a video accessory exactly is it the usb wire? i connected it to my computer but nothing seems to have changed.

i connected my ipod to my computer and found a symbol and message on the screen shortly after saying tv out enabled connect video accessory wire but im not sure what a video accessoriy wire is, is it the USB?

It means that TV Out is enabled in the settings. Head to Videos -> Video Settings -> TV Out and make sure it is set to Off.
