My ipad iWork documents will not sync with iCloud iWorks. My iPhone has no problem, though. Only the iPad. All I've use the troubleshooting guidelines, but no suggestions have worked. All devices have the latest software. My Mac is running OS 10.7.4. Help!

You've probably checked these, but none the less...

Settings>icloud:  turned on icloud?  Turned on Documents & Data?

In, say, Pages on the ipad, when first opened, do you have the icons for your documents - are they in icloud?  (You can check this by going to icloud.com with a computer's browser and check the iWorks page.)  If you create a new doc, when done editing and tapping the Documents button, Does the doc appear in the main screen as an icon AND is it in icloud.com/iWorks?  It should.

    Thanks.

All settings on all apps are turned on to iCloud.

All documents as of 8/28 are in both the iCloud and as icons on the apps. However, any document that I have updated on my iPad since then is not present on the iCloud.

So, after I have updated a document, there should be a brief pause and then the blue status bar should appear as it uploads to iCloud. However, this does not happen on my iPad (1st generation, current iOS). It does on my iPhone. Strange.

I tried to delete Numbers from my iPad. First, I sent the file to myself on email. Then, I uploaded it into my the iCloud with a new name. I deleted the corrupted file on the iCloud that stated "update failed," which was the older version of the file that I had updated on the iPad. Then, I deleted Numbers from my iPad. Then, I re-installed Numbers on the iPad. I uploaded the file to the iPad Numbers. When it appeared a second file by the same name appeared alongside it. Strange.

I am not sure what to do.

I am quite upset that this does not work because the whole point of me upgrading to Lion on my Mac was so that I could use the iCloud. I am a teacher, and I don't want to schlep my laptop back and forth. I was hoping to put filed that I am working on in iCloud so that I could work from home on my iPad. This snafu blows up my whole plan.

    I have a similar problem.

Since I updated to iOS 6 my iworks files don't update to iCloud.

I checked the setting but nothing worked.

I can get the iCloud to send me the documents it has by turning it off then on but it will not take my edited documents from the ipad.

    Did you find the solution?

I don't have restrictions on so that is not the issue.

    Thanks for the URL.

I looked at it and it seems the ipad should work with the iCloud.  I have the latest versions of all iWorks products and iOS.

I see many comments in the Pages reviews with mostly one star that also have iCloud issues.

Does anyone have an idea what to do?

Apple support is useless unless you want to pay.  I cannot figure out how to email a complaint unless you are a developer.

Thanks for the info but I still cannot use iCloud on iWorks products.
