I am trying to upgrade my iMac to OS X Mountain Lion and it keeps telling me that I need 2GB of memory, so how can I get 2GB of memory?

Order the appropriate memory from Crucial or OWC (google them) and they will ship you your new memory, then take the screen off the bottom of your iMac remove the old and put in the new RAM. Both websites have instructional videos if you need to see it done. Quite easy really.
Your model can support up to 6 GBs of memory. See: How to remove or install memory. You can purchase suitable RAM at OWC or DataMem. Your computer has two memory slots for two - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMMs.
