mid 2010 macbook pro freezes and restarts when moved.

Question

My macbook pro crashes daily and sometimes I have to keep turning it on for about 5 minutes because it doesn&#x27;t start up it just beeps. once it starts up it tends to crash when moved even slightly. I have the crash reports and I&#x27;m hoping someone can help me. This problem started to occur once I upgraded to mountain lion and I dont know if the problem has to do something with mountain lion or if it&#x27;s just coincidence. I searched around on the web and think that maybe it is my logic board. It doesn&#x27;t stop beeping until I Hold the power button so it can shut off, once it restarts it continues to beep the same. I repeat this process up to 10 times until it turns on. the most beeps I have counted before I restart is about 15 or more.

I have the exact same issue as this. Can&#x27;t figure it out. I even cloned my entire hard drive over to another and ran it externally, but that ended up having the same crashing problems regardless.

There was a similar thread in here yesterday. This can be a mechanical issue: a loose connector, broken wire or cracked logic board that causes power from the battery to be interrupted when the Mac is jostled. Unless damage is grossly evident, tracking down the exact point of failure is an exasperating Sherlockian exercise.

My macbook doesn&#x27;t have that problem anymore. i bought a new hard drive cable from ifixit.com and installed it about 2 months ago and the problem seems to have been fixed. i haven&#x27;t had my macbook freeze or crash when moved for about 1 month.
