Security questions session expired

Hi everyone,

I'm in a huge trouble right now, as I'm running iOS6 beta 4 for a few days more now. I searched the web the whole weekend and couldn't find any answers. I know your answers will be limited as it concerns iOS6 but I'd be glad to find a solution to this asap.

So, I have my iPhone and iPad running iOS 6 beta 4, and I'm prompted for entering these three security questions Apple set up for security purposes. I say "not now" but every time I'm trying to download a new app, "not now" is just not an option anymore. Fine… you got me, I'm answering your bloody questions !

I do that, but once I'm done choosing the questions, writing the answers and have filled up my optional rescue e-mail address, I have a message that says (not exactly because translating myself from french, but you get the idea) : "Your session has expired. Please restart this operation from the beginning."

I'm confused as I tried this from my iPhone, iPad, on my Mac I went on the web to the "apple id" page, where there is still only one question to choose, I've been in iTunes, on the Mac App Store, in iCloud settings as my apple id & icloud accound email are the same address, anyway, I've been pretty much everywhere but I found nothing but errors and inconsistency from Apple's new security policies. Thing is, too bad for them, I can't download any apps.

Anyone's got a brilliant idea ? Please ?!

Thanks a lot for considering !

My ultimate solution was to wipe the phone and reinstall iOS 6. Definitely suboptimal, but it worked. I can log in and I don't get the questions anymore. One other thing to check is that you are using the correct appleID. I have a couple that I use. You just need to make sure you are logging in with the same apple ID as the App was originally installed under. Hope this helps.

I found this in another and post after researching the exact same problem and babaaam! It worked! I finally have my frst app downloading now. Follow these instructions if you continously get timed out after entering your security questions/password or are "looping" the questions/pw over and over. These instructions came directly from Apple to another user who posted in a similar thread. Props to DrBull_Bull for the help and time to post. Ill try to pay it forward and respond to other posts I've read recently.

here is what i received from apple. the method 1 solved my problem.

1) Quit App Store in multi-tasking.

•From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.

•Tap and hold on the app.

•When it starts to jiggle, tap the red ➖ in the top corner to close it;

***Please close all open apps on your phone***

2) Tap Settings.

3) Tap Safari.

4) Tap Clear History.

5) Tap the Clear History button.

6) Tap Clear Cookies and Data.

7) Tap the Clear Cookies and Data button

If this doesn't solve your issue, you may also consider trying this one:

1) Quit App Store in multi-tasking once again.

2) Tap Settings

3) Tap General

4) Tap Date & Time

5) Set your time ahead (e.g. two hours or more) and your date to at least a year later than our current one.

6) Go back to your App Store and try again.

***You can edit your Date & Time after***

I also managed to locate the following topics on our Apple Discussion Board, where other customers had the same issue and was able to resolve it:
