What else might be wrong?

I don't have the library issue. GB '11 (6.05) on both iMac and MacAir. Everything works on the iMac. But on the MacAir, GB won't create or add Electric Guitar trax. The Air correctly recognizes the guitar input (via Apogee JAM) and will record it as a Real Instrument track (with effects as wished). Just not an Electric Guitar track with amps and stompboxes. In the Create New Project action, EG doesn't show up as an option. With Add Tracks, EG shows up as an option (with software instruments and real instruments). But if selected, nothing happens. Thank you for any help! (I also have an iPad with GB for IOS. Everthing works.)
