That's usually a good indication that your iPod battery's is shot and in need of a replacement. If you'd like, Apple can swap out the battery for a flat fee.

Otherwise, you can also send it to a third party repair service center that could do the same job for a little less. Google "ipod battery replacement" for different options.

2 years ago is still quite awhile ago for a battery such as the one in your iPod, so the possibility that it is nearing its death is quite normal. Either that or something else has gone bad, such as the iPod's logic board. There is really no way to tell for sure.


Have you tried charging the iPod with a different cable, USB port, or wall adapter?
