full screen not working

Hi,

Im running 10.8.1 on a mid 2011 Macbook Pro, and I just noticed that no application can go full screen anymore (using a single display).

When I try to do so, I get a dong, nothing happens, except on iTunes, where the application doesn't go full screen, but the 3 buttons (red/orange/green) disappear. They only re-appear after I restart iTunes.

Just before this problem appears, I had another one where the dock stopped showing up, and alt tab stopped working. I removed the com.apple.dock.plist file, and it sorted the problem, but now the full screen issue is there.

Would anybody have any idea on what could be done here? I checked the display settings, all looks ok.

Is there another setting file, linked to the desktop for example I could remove?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,

Kouetttte

Let's try the FInder prefs...

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences folder and trash this file:

com.apple.finder.plist

Then, restart, or log out and in again.

(You may have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.)
