Restore disc for 10.2 iMac

We use an old G4 iMac for word processing etc. It works great but trying to update to 10.2.8 caused an unstable system i.e. mouse doesn't work, can't mount drives. I can't find my original discs and want to somehow obtain a restore disc for this computer. Additionally I would like to upgrade it to 10.4 so that a new printer I bought will work with it. How can I get the restore and/or upgrade disc for this model?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.2.x)

Texas Mac Man, Leopard disc sources - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3636662 - same goes for Tiger too.

Provide more information about your computer. Can it run Tiger? If it can't as-is then you may want to consider buying new hardware as the cost of software + hardware upgrades may be uneconomical.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

Hi.

You'll have to find restore discs used. Check eBay, Craig's List, Amazon.

You're looking for discs with a grey label, specified for your exact model iMac. Plug in your iMac serial number her at Apple Support to know which specific model you have.

You will also be looking online for a Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger Retail disc. It'll be a disc with a big black X on it. Also used.

Good luck. I hope this is helpful.
