Typing double letters by pressing only one key: n=mn, h=hj, y=uy, 6=67. Any ideas what could that be?

Mac mini (Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

If it's a USB KB, try unplugging & replugging, if Wireless, try new Alkaline Batteries.

It is a USB KB. I tried that and I also plugged it in another Mac and the problem unfortunately remains.

If so you need to replace it.
