iTunes doesn't run apps. It is an app. Apps run themselves either on the computer if it is a Mac app, or a mobile device if it is an iOS app.

If it is a Mac app for running on the computer you get it from the Mac App Store online

If it is for a mobile device you but it from the iTunes Store through iTunes.
