How Do I Decommission a Dead Computer

A family iMac died and now I need to decommission it so that I can commission a new laptop. Hpw may I decommission it?

You can't de-authorize a 'dead' computer.
If you reached the limit of 5 authorizations, you can de-authorize all computers once a year:
About iTunes Music Store authorization and deauthorization

If you didn't reach that limit yet, you can request to de-authorize all computers using the form at the bottom of this page:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/authorization/
