iCloud mail is down AGAIN

I am NOT a happy camper, Apple - can't get email once again because iCloud Mail is down. Again.

Fix it. Get it right. When I read that it affects only a "small number" of users that means nothing. I'm ALWAYS ONE OF THOSE AFFECTED.

Sorry for the shouting - I haven't had my coffee yet.

Grrrr.

In my fourth phone contact with the iCloud team today, they reminded me that iCloud, unlike mobileme, is a FREE service and the T&C's (which we all read) state:

"APPLE DOES NOT GUARANTEE, REPRESENT, OR WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND YOU AGREE THAT FROM TIME TO TIME APPLE MAY REMOVE THE SERVICE FOR INDEFINITE PERIODS OF TIME, OR CANCEL THE SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT."

Seeing how many other people are just as frustrated as I am helps a little bit. I can't believe Apple doesn't even have an apology on the System status page. I just spent the last hour emailing my clients, apologizing and sending them my new gmail address. Trust me, Apple, it wasn't hard at all and they all appreciate it. All part of my customer service.

Furthermore and in particular.... "APPLE AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS AND LICENSORS MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT (I) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (II) YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE TIMELY, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; (III) ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED BY YOU AS A RESULT OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; AND (IV) ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS IN THE SOFTWARE PROVIDED TO YOU AS PART OF THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

Just about says it all. There is NO OBLIGATION on the part of Apple et al to give out any information - least is best!

Crap? These are the things as they are. These are Apple rules which you agreed with when you signed with iCloud.

You didn't read them? Apple couldn't care less.

Apple has no obligation to tell us nothing, it's written in the rules.

That's the only truth in this.

Are we angry? Ok, and I am too.

But there's nothing we can do until the rules are these.

I am without @me.com email for 1 1/2 days now. OK, this is a free service, but still. No information (we all specified alternate email addresses when signing up!), no public information when you search goodle.

How does Apple do this. Service down for almost 2 days and no big public outrage?

Guess everybody is busy listenting to the keynote and news about iPhone5.

This is really sad.

I will switch back to Microsoft when the Surface is out. Luckly I always kept my hotmail.com now outlook.com email.

Check it our, really cool now and never had any outage issues since I first used it in 1997.
