Sudden Display Sleep Mode

This is an issue that I've had for a few months now, I don't know exactly when it started.

Issue:

I will be on computer, doing whatever, and the display will randomly go to sleep. Rest of computer seems to be running fine (ie - audio from browser or itunes would continue playing) and then I click any key and it will turn back on.

I've posted a TON of logs over in MacRumors forum, in case you want to check them out: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=15627118&posted=1#post15627118

Most recent Log - This is EVERYTHING that happened in the log between two display blackouts The previous blackout time is the section of the log displayed in bold, so the display first when to sleep at 9:17am, and the next one at 9:23am. Hope someone can help!

have had a similar problem with 27 inch iMac. Took it into apple store but the problem would not occur when they had it. Reformatted the hard drive and did clean install on Mountain Lion. Cleared NVRAM on the machine. screen went black three times yesterday. Sometimes it won't come back and it is necessary to reboot. Screen always comes back on reboot but sometimes only for a few seconds right after the startup grey screen.

Before the reformat of the hard drive the screen blanked while running the Apple Hardware Diagnostic - long test.

Have found a lot of similar reports online - no diagnosis or fix.

I do not have Witness installed either. The problem seemed to go away after a software update, however returned a few weeks ago. I'm convinced there is some problem as well, as it should not be doing this all by itself, especially on a brand new MBP retina, but I'm also having image retention issues with the screen so I'm trying to get one thing solved at a time.

Why do you ask about Witness? I just had the same problem - I was typing text in emacs and suddenly the screens went blank, and screen lock was enabled, and I see the same '...screenshot' messages in the log.

Running the latest OS on a MBP.

Come to think of it: I do have a 'hot corner' configured in System Prefs that blanks and locks the screen (setting:'Put Display to Sleep), so it's fairly likely something (e.g. a trackpad glitch) triggered it. Do others have this? (Please 'Like' if this resolves the issue.)

Intentionally triggering the hot corner produces pretty much the same log entries.
